Extra Costs & Frequently Asked Questions

HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL ?

We are based in Exmouth, Devon. With no additional charges, we travel as far as Torquay, Paignton, Exeter, Tiverton, Crediton, Cullumpton, Teignmouth, Honiton, Seaton.

If you are further away, please still give us a call, it may not cost much extra to travel to your location.

WHY ARE YOU SO MUCH CHEAPER THAN OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS ?

Firstly, we have other business interests – Entertainment. We therefore do not have to make as much money as other companies who only take Photos.  We also work from home, and do not have the expense of a studio/office to pay for.

Another reason, is that we only offer one package. You have one choice of Album and one choice of Photograph size.

Keeping a large stock of albums and re-printing photographs in different shapes and sizes, costs time and money.

HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHS DO I GET ?

All of them ! There is no restriction on amount. We take varied poses and multiple shots of certain events. This is to offer variety, and also in case someone looks away or closes their eyes.

The photographs are mounted into the Album, telling the story of the day. Any spare, repeating or similar pictures are given to you in a separate packet.

If we had to actually give a figure, if 100 photographs were taken, we would hope that 70—80 would go into the Album.

RECEPTION PHOTOGRAPHS

If you have a Civil Wedding, and your ceremony and reception are all in the one venue, there is no extra charge for taking reception photographs. These are normally your reception room before anyone sits down, your cake, and a photograph of you pretending to cut the cake.

If you are having a Church Wedding , and wish us to take the above photographs at your reception, there is a small extra charge of £25.00.

DO YOU TAKE INFORMAL PHOTOGRAPHS ?

If you wish to have photographs at home, or stop at a special location or the seafront on the way to the reception, this will cost £25.00 per location. (Please think carefully about home photographs. It can be quite stressful getting ready, and sometimes the last thing you need is a photographer around!)

OTHER LOCATIONS, HOME PHOTOGRAPHS, COSTAL PICTURES

In short, no, however if something is happening, and we notice, then yes we will try and capture it. We aim to take your photographs promptly and ensure that all guests are smiling and look smart. We make sure the men have  their jackets buttoned the same way, flowers on, and no bulging pockets with cameras, etc. Ladies, make sure your handbag matches your outfit, or it won’t be in the picture!

 

DO YOU HAVE A SAMPLE ALBUM I CAN VIEW ?

The Album is supplied with all Colour pictures. We could print the whole album in Black and White, but I don’t think that would capture the beautiful colours on show on the day.

Included in the price is your very own C.D. of the photographs. You are free to get your own reprints and enlargements , and it will cost a fraction of the price that other photographers charge.

If you would like to have some of your photographs re-produced in Black and White, it can be done at any shop or on a computer. It requires nothing more than a click of a button. (See sample)

DO YOU TAKE BLACK AND WHITE OR SEPIA PICTURES ?

Yes, and a sample of the presentation box, and C.D.

HOW LONG TILL THE ALBUM IS READY ?

Normally, two to three weeks, depending on the time of year. We can get the Album ready sooner. Occasionally we are asked to do this for clients in the forces.

HOW DO I BOOK AND WHAT COSTS ARE INVOLVED ?

This varies. We can give you a more exact time when we have the full details of your Wedding.

We do take the photos promptly to keep your day flowing along. The last thing you want at your Wedding is a slow boring photographer plodding along like a snail.

It’s a happy day, and we’ll make the photography enjoyable too.

HOW LONG ARE YOU AT THE WEDDING ?

Phone or email us so we can check if we are available for your date. For some reason bookings are being made a long way in advance, some nearly two years ahead.

If your Wedding is over 12 months away, we only require a deposit of £100.00. If it is less than 12 months, half of the total amount is paid to secure the date.

DO YOU HAVE ANY REFERENCES ?

We have letters from clients thanking us for their wonderful photographs which we are able to show you.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR REPRINTS AND ENLARGEMENTS ?

We don’t take your orders. You have the C.D. You can take the CD to any Photographic Shop or even Tesco.

You can make copies of the C.D. and give it to your friends and relatives, and they also can get copies of your Wedding Photos. This will save you a fortune.
